Sigo Seguros Opens Its Auto Insurance MCP Server to ChatGPT, Grok Bot and Muse. Others Are Blocking Them

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 1, 2026
Texas drivers can now quote and buy auto insurance without leaving their AI agent. Sigo also launches InsuranceMCP.com, an open directory where any insurer or agency can list its MCP server and the place for personal AI agents to shop for insurance
AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Sigo Seguros today released a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets personal AI agents, including ChatGPT, Grok Bot and Muse, take a Texas driver from first question to purchased policy inside the conversation. The agent requests estimates from multiple carriers, compares options and completes the purchase on the spot. Sigo is the first personal auto insurance agency to build a quoting and buying process for AI agents, and it is launching InsuranceMCP.com so it will not be the last.

Sigo underwrote more than $50 million in Texas personal auto premium during its years as a managing general agent before becoming a licensed agency. That experience shapes the MCP server: accurate customer information, real carrier estimates and an informed final decision.
As AI agents become a new front door to insurance shopping, some marketplaces have chosen to block them, arguing that agents strip quotes of coverage limits, deductibles, eligibility conditions and state-required disclosures. Sigo built the alternative. Through MCP, an agent does not scrape a website. It receives each estimate as structured data with coverage, eligibility, disclosures and carrier attribution attached, and the customer buys through Sigo.
“We are aggressively pro-AI because we are aggressively pro-consumer,” said Néstor Hugo Solari, Founder and CEO of Sigo Seguros. “Your personal agent should give you more power: better information, less friction and more control over what you buy. The existing online brokerage pales in comparison to what is possible. Blocking agents only protects the business of intermediation. Giving agents accurate, complete information protects the consumer and the insurance company bearing the risk. Building this is, without a doubt, a win for the customer, a win for the carrier and a win for the industry.”
MCP is an open standard that allows AI assistants to connect directly to external tools and services. Through Sigo’s server, a connected assistant can guide a customer through the information needed to quote, request estimates from multiple insurers and present available results within the conversation.
A Texas driver using ChatGPT, Grok Bot or Muse can start with: “Help me find affordable car insurance with the Sigo Seguros MCP.” The agent gathers what is needed, retrieves estimates and explains the options. No website, no call, no form.
Buying inside the agent is live today with select Sigo carrier partners, and Sigo is adding partners every week. The goal is simple: every carrier Sigo offers, purchasable by the customer’s agent, in the conversation where the customer already is.
The MCP server works in any harness or personal AI assistant that supports custom MCP connections, with no Sigo account or API key required. Sigo is connected today in ChatGPT and Grok Bot, and its Muse connector is awaiting Meta’s approval.
In parallel, Sigo announces the launch of InsuranceMCP.com and an open directory initiative for insurance companies to list their MCP servers. It is a resource built for AI agents rather than people. Any carrier, agency or marketplace can list its server, and a consumer’s agent can find where the doors have been opened for it to shop. The site publishes the connection details and the rules an agent must follow. The directory launches with the Sigo Seguros Personal Auto MCP and the Sigo Commercial Auto MCP listed. Companies that have not yet built an MCP server can request development of one from Sigo, with a listing on InsuranceMCP.com included.
“Giant insurance companies will spend a year fighting this technology and the following year implementing what it takes to accommodate it,” Solari said. “At Sigo, we see where the puck is going and what the customer wants, and we moved quickly to adapt our technology to the new reality. We were built to serve the working-class and immigrant drivers the industry has ignored. That focus is what led us to build now for AI agents, the next wave of insurance shoppers the current market is not serving well. InsuranceMCP.com is where the industry can gather to serve the insured. AI agents don’t care who has the biggest balance sheet. They care about who has the best coverage their person can actually get. If you aren’t in the conversation with AI agents six months from now, you’ll see it in your results.”
With participating Sigo carrier partners, the price an agent returns is final and the policy can be purchased in the conversation. All other amounts are estimates, non-binding and subject to underwriting, eligibility and state filing. Customers select coverage and complete payment through Sigo. Policies are issued by the applicable insurance carrier.
