HydroEdge Solutions Acquires Majority Interest in RES Water, Creating the Appalachian Basin’s Premier Full-Cycle Water Management Platform

Combined platform operates five Pennsylvania water facilities with approximately 700,000 barrels of storage and up to 116,000 barrels per day of processing capacity

CANONSBURG, Pa., Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — HydroEdge Solutions, LLC (“HydroEdge”) today announced that WET Tech, LLC, its newly formed parent company, has acquired Reserved Environmental Services, LLC and its affiliated operating companies (“RES Water”), combining the two businesses into one of the largest independent water management platforms serving the Marcellus and Utica shales across the Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia tri-state region.

The combination unites two complementary businesses into a single operator spanning the entire water lifecycle — from pipeline and on-pad water management to hauling, treatment, recycling, and storage. Together, the companies will offer natural gas producers a single-point solution across the completion and production cycle, backed by approximately 350 employees, five water treatment, recycling, and storage facilities at strategic locations across the state of Pennsylvania, roughly 700,000 barrels of storage capacity, up to 116,000 barrels per day of combined processing capacity, and an automationenabled transfer and trucking network with full basin coverage.

“We are thrilled to be working with Matt Kicinski and the entire RES team,” said Matt Brewer, Chief Executive Officer of the combined company and co-founder of HydroEdge. “The basin has seen firsthand how consolidation on the E&P side has strengthened the operators working here. This transaction creates the platform to do the same in energy services, and we will continue to pursue both organic and acquisitive growth across Appalachia.”

“This transaction is a testament to the business our team has built as the basin’s leader in water storage infrastructure,” said Matt Kicinski, President of the combined company. “Incorporating HydroEdge’s technology and logistics capabilities into that footprint creates immediate opportunities for the combined business and for the operators we serve.”

Strategic and environmental benefits. The combined company expects to lower the total cost per barrel for customers through optimized routing and reduced trucking miles, improve service reliability through 24/7 facility and fleet coverage, and enhance environmental performance by increasing water reuse, reducing freshwater withdrawals, and lowering emissions. Management also sees a runway for continued growth through infrastructure expansion, selective bolt-on acquisitions, and emerging opportunities in mineral extraction from produced water.

The transaction was financed with a senior secured credit facility arranged by Atlantic Union Bank Capital Markets, with Atlantic Union Bank serving as administrative agent and sole lead arranger and EagleBank and Dollar Bank, FSB as participating lenders. The facility funds the acquisition and provides additional capacity to support the combined platform’s continued growth. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
