Grafana Labs, the company behind the open agentic observability cloud, today announced the general availability of the Grafana Marketplace at ObservabilityCON 2026, opening the Grafana plugin catalog to commercial plugins built, sold, and maintained by verified partners. For the first time, developers can earn revenue from the extensions they build for Grafana — a change that is already increasing both the number of production-ready connectors reaching the catalog and the speed at which they arrive.
Grafana began as an open source project built on a ‘single pane of glass’ premise. That became Grafana Labs’ “big tent” philosophy: work with the tools teams already have, rather than replace them. The plugin catalog has been an essential part of the big tent approach, with more than 300 data sources, panels, and apps contributed by Grafana Labs, third-party ISV partners, and the open source community.
Building and maintaining a production-grade plugin is sustained work, and until now there was no way to fund it commercially. The Marketplace establishes that model: developers get a direct way to fund the work, which means more plugins reaching the catalog, and better-supported ones once they’re there.
The Marketplace is an addition to the Grafana plugins ecosystem, not a replacement for any part of it. Grafana Labs continues to invest in the plugin tooling, documentation, and review processes that support it. Developers who prefer to publish their work at no cost are unaffected. The Marketplace is simply an additional route for those who want to commercialize a plugin and take on the support and maintenance that comes with it.
“We want customers to have more choice in how they monitor their most critical infrastructure and extend Grafana to fit their unique use cases, while giving developers new ways to build for and reach the Grafana ecosystem,” said Ash Mazhari, VP of Corporate Development, Grafana Labs. “The Grafana Marketplace brings those two sides together, making it easier for customers to find solutions built for their specific needs and for developers to bring purpose-built capabilities directly to the teams looking for them. It’s another way we’re expanding what’s possible with Grafana and making the platform even more extensible.”

Held to a consistent standard
Because Marketplace plugins run inside a user’s own Grafana instance, every listing is reviewed by Grafana Labs before it becomes available. All plugins must be cryptographically signed, must not collect user information, and must encrypt sensitive data.
Support comes directly from the partner who built the plugin. Partners are vetted by Grafana Labs and contractually committed to maintaining compatibility with supported Grafana versions; Grafana Labs handles billing and payment support.
“Crest Data has been developing enterprise integrations for years, giving us a deep understanding of what enterprise customers need to address their operational, security, and compliance requirements,” said Malhar Shah, Co-Founder and CEO at Crest Data. “Our presence on the Grafana Marketplace brings this experience to Grafana through enterprise-grade plugins designed to unify IT and security monitoring, helping organizations build a more connected and comprehensive approach to observability.”
“Distribution is the hardest part of selling infrastructure software,” said Christophe Netillard, CEO, Phenisys. “A team that wants Microsoft Teams observability has historically had to justify a new vendor, complete a security review, and open a procurement cycle before they could use it. Through the Marketplace, they install it from the Grafana catalog, trial it, and pay for it on their existing Grafana Cloud invoice. Grafana Labs carries the commercial relationship, which means the evaluation comes down to whether the product works. As a small boutique company, that is the only question we ever wanted to be judged on.”
“We’ve spent years building observability integrations, and Grafana has one of the most engaged communities in the space,” said Chris Noordyke, CEO of Integration Plumbers. “The Grafana Marketplace opens that community to partners who want to build for it seriously. As a launch partner, we can put our plugins in front of the teams who need them most, on the platform they already trust, and we’re proud to be part of it from the start.”
